LAWS OF THE WORLD is a database compiled by International Legal
Association covering all nations. It currently consists of four sections:
The Profiles section contains key information about each country, including:
geography; population (nationality, ethnic groups, religion, languages
etc.); government (type - e.g. republic, - constitution,
branches, court system etc.); economy; history; defense and military
issues; foreign relations. Source: US State Department. >>>
The Concerns section provides country-by-country
identification of problem areas, i.e. areas of possible non-compliance
with domestic or international laws and/or violations of fundamental
principles such as due process, the rule of law, and responsible
governance. To facilitate further research, each problem area
identified will be accompanied by links to the applicable sections
within the Advocate-General's Basic Principles and to external
information sources. >>>
The Reviews section provides in-depth, up-to-date
analysis of select issues found to be of particular importance to a
given country's performance and development. Special attention is
given to governance, law, policy, and diplomacy. >>>
The Governance Index numerically measures the performance of select jurisdictions by looking at key factors such as
economical development, public services, the judiciary, and
international relations. >>>
